ABOUT US

Hirwaun and Area Men's Shed (aka Hirwaun Men's Shed) was established in late 2016 at the Hirwaun YMCA. The Shed also goes by Hirwaun Men's Sheds and Hirwaun and Area Men's Sheds.

The Hirwaun Shed was established to give men (women are welcome to join as well) who are unemployed, retired or bored something to do as well as help reduce the feelings and isolation and loneliness that many people experience especially among older men. The members of the Hirwaun Shed can also learn to make new things from other members, repair items, go on activities etc.

We have many plans for the future and all we ask from our members is to treat each other with respect since we have members from many different backgrounds and experiences.
